5/24/24 - 6/6/24 general thoughts. doing well.

It's been hard to keep up with writing these days.  I feel like every time I sit down after my session to write my thoughts I get interrupted. I'll just leave my general sentiments on my sessions so far. There's been a lot of obstacles. Lots of ommissions and even a day where I had to dial back my supplemental work but despite that I've been performing very well. I've been doing Joker sets here and there, keeping them conservative. My all around strength is returning.

The weight actually felt lighter than I anticipated, the issue was that my hips are starting to feel very fatigued and I'm experiencing discomfort that may be indicative of overuse. 

OHP 5s Top set @ 140
The warmups felt very strong. My "skill" is returning. Top set felt pretty heavy. 

If I can, I will do my calisthenics work at work, and my hip thrusts at home.

At work
Single leg squat

I expected a good performance since my BBB squats were a disaster but DIDN'T expect the PR! Knees felt perfect.

Chin ups on conveyor frame
10, 8, 6
I got less reps on the first set because I used the wrong set of support beams and they were uneven. On my last set I felt myself entering the beginning of what could be a muscle up! I felt myself pull and transition momentarily I to a press. I did this for a few reps and sadly leaked a bit of strength and lost reps. Still very happy! 

Only hip thrusts left to do at home!

I stopped overanalyzing my form and stuck to basic cues. Felt it in my glutes properly and not my upper back and traps! 

5s bench top set @ 185
Jokers 205x3 225x1
Felt like I was able to engage my whole torso. Strong reps. Hitting 225 again was good for my ego. Had more reps in the tank! 

At work 
Conveyor beam pull-ups (muscle up conversion attempts) 
10, 6, 6
I lost a lot of reps trying to do these more explosively for a muscle up conversion. It's alright. Felt awesome.
