7/17/24 SSS Squat singles

30 jumps (mostly aerial practice)
I decided to take my baby outside with me while I trained. I opted to do only jumps because it was easier to keep an eye on her between reps.

Squat singles
1 x 255
4 x 265
I thought I'd work up to higher weight, maybe I could have but the heat was extremely intense. The sun was directly overhead and I haven't built my new gazebo yet. Overall, the singles felt great. I had amazing MMC with my glutes and adductors.

SLDL 5 x 10 @ 195
I upped the weight from last time. Each set felt like an Individual torture session. Not only was the sun beaming down on my skin but the floor was so hot it was burning my feet. After the last rep of each set I felt overheated. The weight itself wasn't difficult to move.

Overall this was a decent session. It didn't beat me to the ground like last week so I'm taking it that I'm beginning to adapt. My rest times were longer than I would have liked because I was making sure my daughter stayed out of trouble and went inside a few times to refill her water. After the first few minutes of being outside with me she opted to stay under the shade. At one point she stepped on the rubber gym mat and burned her feet! Poor baby.

She watched during one of my sets of SLDLs. I hope I can inspire her to be active. She's seen me practicing handstands and cartwheels and I think that's why she's always practicing forward rolls herself! 17 months old!
